Big Girl Bed

Last night was the second night in a row that Sarah slept in her Dora toddler bed. We put her in it on Saturday afternoon for a nap after trying unsuccessfully for a while to get her to take a nap. We knew we were going to be out late that night to see the fireworks, and knew that without a nap, she would be misearable or miss them completely. Bribery with the toddler bed seemed to work as she napped. We decided we would see how she did for the couple of hours for her nap, and then maybe let her sleep in it overnight. She did really well for her nap, so Saturday night she got to sleep in the bed. We only had one minor issue about 3:00 in the morning where she had turned herself and her legs were hanging off the end. She fussed a bit, but was fine once I moved her back up onto her pillow.

After doing well on Saturday night, we let her sleep in it again last night. This was a bit rougher on her as she actually fell out of bed at 2:30 AM. She woke up laying on the floor, about 2 feet away from the bed. She had hit her foot on her dresser and was complaining about that. Once again, I picked her up and put her back on her pillow, and she was back asleep with a couple of minutes. Looks like she has graduated to the bed and we can think about taking the crib down and out of the room.
