decor

Well we finally have the paint and I have had the border for more than a year now and I want to get started......but that isn't my job.. Doug is going to help the grandma's and Tammy paint then Grandma Bishop is all about the border....

I guess we should start furniture shopping for real and stop the looking. Just in case no one could guess-there will be Elmo everywhere for this kid, I hope he or she likes sesame street. If anyone knows of a fabric store where I can get Elmo fabric for curtains let me know.......

Doctor Appointment

I went to the doctor again on Wednesday. I finally gained some weight but now it's too much. I went from not gaining anything to gaining 8 pounds in just 4 weeks. The heart beat was very strong and still in the mid 150's. The midwife that I saw made her prediction--a boy, she said that there was no sceintific or logical reason for her guess.

The midwife that we had this time was very friendly and she was also very helpful. We actually had some questions this time and she took time to explain some of those things too us. We also asked her about birthing classes and she was an advocate for Bradley and she said that she would get some information together and we could have some when we go in to the office in March.

Not much else has changed.

Alien Belly

We were sitting at dinner tonite at my parents and Karen called me over to feel something pushing out of her belly. Not sure if it was an elbow, a knee, or something else, but I could definately feel something hard pushing back at me when I prodded it. I think that's the first time I've been able to really feel something going on inside of her. It was really exciting. I can't wait for more things to happen that she can really share with me.

Shopping

We finally had enough time to go and look at baby furniture and stuff like that on Saturday. I can't believe how much money we are going to spend on this kid before s/he can even enjoy any of it. We did find some things that we like but we should probably shop more before we make any quick decisions.......

I guess its time to look into painting the nursery too. The grandmothers and Tammy will be doing the painting since I really shouldn't (wink). I am getting more excited as we start to do more baby oriented stuff.
