Potty Training

This weekend, we decided to start to potty train Sarah. We were out shopping a week or so ago and found a Dora the Explorer padded potty seat, and with her love of Dora right now, figured this would be a good way to get her started. We told her that Dora would help her learn to use the "big potty", and she was happy with that.

We started out well, with her using the potty twice, going both times, but it's been difficult for us to keep up with it. We are going to need to get a folding seat cover so that we can take one with us to the mall, etc. She isn't coming up to us yet asking to go, but if you ask her if she needs to go, she is pretty honest about it. Both times that she want, she said she had to go, and she did. Of course the Thomas stickers she get's as a reward help things along a bit.

She's so cute when she is done, she get's so proud of herself and claps her hands. I'm sure it will take some time, and commitment on all of our parts, but school will help out during the day. She seems ready to learn. But are we ready for her to learn?
